Montreal 1993, Paloma Luisa Marquez Hermosa, a beautiful woman in her forties, of Colombian origin, is at the height of her fame. At the head of a criminal organization as discreet as it is efficient, she is responsible for the transit of cocaine in Montreal and its money laundering. Inspired by a true story, she is the so-called Godmother of the Cali Cartel. Guided by her heart, she will stop at nothing to provide for her family. She will find herself in the line of fire of the policeman Paul Généreux who is determined to bring down the Cartel. But this simple investigation into the world of organized crime will turn into a corruption case involving high-ranking police officers.

Synopsis

Montreal, 1993: Paloma Luisa Marquez Hermosa, a beautiful woman in her forties, of Colombian extraction, is at the peak of her career. At the head of a discreet but highly efficient criminal organization, she brings cocaine into Montreal and launders the proceeds. Based on a true story, she is the infamous Godmother of the Cali Cartel.

Following what her heart tells her, she will stop at nothing in order to provide for her family.

She finds herself the target of police investigator Paul Généreux, who is determined to topple the cartel. However, what seems like a fairly straightforward investigation into organized crime uncovers extensive corruption implicating high-ranking police officers.
